Amazing, with caviat
OK, I ordered 2 of these, hung 1 up in the chicken run 3 days ago. Put some sweet juicer pulp in the cup. The thing now contains probably a hundred flies and 30 moths. Seems to work on flychology, they go up the open bottom, but do not think to go down. I have no Idea who invented this, but I,m guessing the Chinese made it and it is completely non toxic, unless you are dumb dumb and put some unnecessary stuff in the cup.
Downside is the cup does not come out easily to fill. I cracked it trying to get it out. No worries. If someone can figure that Chinese puzzle out let me know. But my congratulations to the maker. Anyone who can think like a fly is a darn genius in my book.

sprouting use
easy way to grow, plop em in the bag ( in a bowl) for overnight soak, then hang in the shower to keep rinsing em boom, little healthy sprouts.
