High- vs low-volume sellers
Your exact Motors fees vary depending on the number of vehicles you list in a calendar year, which starts on January 1 and ends on December 31. Each time you submit a listing, or relist your item, it counts as one listing.
The first time you list vehicles on eBay and the number of vehicle listings you create in that calendar year determine whether you're a low- or high-volume Motors seller. If you list up to 6 vehicles in a year, you're considered a low-volume seller, and anything more than that makes you a high-volume seller. Once you become a high-volume seller, you'll keep that status permanently, year after year. The fees you'll pay will depend on your status and your vehicle's price.
Listing durations
When you create a listing, you can use the auction-style or fixed price format with a listing duration of 3, 5, 7, and 10 days. If you use fixed price, you can also list your vehicle for up to 30 days. We charge a fee for 10 and 30-day durations.
Insertion and successful listing fees
We charge an insertion fee when you list a vehicle. We also charge a successful listing fee when your vehicle sells, if the sale meets one of these criteria:
- You receive a bid on your auction-style listing (if you have a reserve price, the bid must meet that reserve)
- A buyer selects Buy It Now in your fixed price listing
- You accept a Best Offer
The amount of the successful listing fee depends on whether you're a low- or high-volume Motors seller and the vehicle's price which is the final bid amount, Buy It Now price, or your accepted Best Offer.

Fees for optional listing upgrades
Certain features, like adding a subtitle, do require an additional fee, but these optional listing upgrades can help your listings stand out and attract more buyers.

- If you use supplemental or other services offered by us or third parties, you'll be charged for using those services. Depending on the service, and at eBay's option, the fee details may be on your monthly invoice - opens in new window or tab, and we may charge the automatic payment method you've set up on your account
- Insertion fees and optional listing upgrade fees apply to each listing you create, are charged at the time of listing or relisting, as applicable, and are nonrefundable. Fee amounts are based on the terms in effect when the listing goes live and when it renews
- The fees on this page apply to listings on eBay.ca. If you list an item on another eBay site (for example, eBay.com or eBay.co.uk), the fees for that site will apply
- All fees are in Canadian dollars
- There may be instances when your listing doesn't immediately appear in search results. This can take up to 24 hours. We can't guarantee exact listing durations
- Seller fees don't purchase exclusive rights to web pages on eBay. We may, in our sole discretion and without consent from or payment to sellers, display third-party advertisements (including links and references thereto) and listings from other sellers on any eBay page
- Depending on the tax legislation of your country of residency, local Value Added Tax (VAT), Goods and Services Tax (GST) or similar consumption tax might apply in addition to your eBay fees
