Not the best first impression

The machine works fine but there is a strong smell of burning plastic coming from the unit, it feels extremely wam to the touch around th top of the tank area. Have taken it out of service in fear of starting a fire in my kitchen, not something to look forward to. I will try to contact the company about this.. Not satisfied with this model at all. This is the best coffee maker I have purchased. I like the preheated water in the storage tank. I also like the burner with the ceramic coating. It keeps the coffee hot. Fastest cup of coffee in town

I bought this coffee pot because a friend of mine has one and I used it for a couple of days while we were staying with him and I fell in love with it.

It has a holding tank for a pot of water that stays warm and all you do is add your pot of water in the morning and you have a fresh pot in about 1.5 minutes. No 15 minute waiting like on a drip coffee maker.

there are better options for less money

simple to use, brews fast. some difficulty setting up beacuse of our water softener. brewing a full pot caused an overflow of grounds. had to order the low flow spray head free of charge from Bunn. works great now.

update 22 Aug 2013. broke after a year and didn't buy a new one. This coffee maker brews so fast you need to use almost twice the amount of coffee to get a strong cup. paid half the price for a Cuisinart and won't go back.Read full review...

Steel construction

This coffee maker is an excellent buy. Makes 10 cups in about 3 minutes. The coffee that comes out smells better than my old coffee maker. The maker perhaps could use a stainless steel filter basket instead of the plastic one it comes with other than that I can't find a single thing I don't like about it. Well I'm now one of those people who own a Bunn and can enjoy coffee made at home. There is no going back, it's love at first sip. I wanted the best but didn't think they had a 4 cup setting so I got a cuisinart one cup maker and although it was ok it's not a Bunn, Now I have the best. It's what my Timmy's uses and that is what convinced me I had to have it along with all the overjoyed reviews I've come across on multiple web sites. Price is not an option when you get the quality you've been longing for. I only wish I knew that they could do 4 cups sooner as I wanted it but can't drink alot of coffee. It would have saved me weeks of pondering over what to buy, but that's in the past I'm happy and hope you will take my advise GET A BUNN!Read full review...
