Tom Selleck IS Jesse Stone

In my opinion, Tom Selleck has always been Jesse Stone and perfect for the role. This is another movie made after author Robert B. Parker's death. Because Selleck totally "gets" Jesse Stone, the transition to his role as writer was seamless. The characters (whether played by the original actors or new ones) and the "flavor" remained true to the earlier movies that Parker himself was involved in; I also love the continuity of the characters and past events.

I appreciate that the people are real and love that this movie and all the others before it moved at a slower pace so I could savor each minute, joke, and gesture. Stone uses his brain and logic to solve crimes, which really appeals to me.

Ah, Jesse Stone

Tom gets better as an actor as he ages. I think this is his finest role but have never seen bluebloods so I may be wrong.
