Old = good, New = bad
I received the "new model" orange one. The head is labelled 8 oz, but is much heavier. Also the handle is unnecessarily heavy. The older model (brown) is much better balanced.

Length not 89 1/2" as described
Belt was not 89 1/2" in length as described. It was only 89 1/8" max. Using a short belt might increase bearings and slides wear, and make installation more difficult.

Great little scale
This scale is surprisingly accurate. If you are used to older spring scales, you may expect the hook to "give" a little as weight is applied (or if you pull on it) - but it doesn't, and yet the reading reflects the applied tension.
